Hello, I am an Indian classical vocalist who loves to experiment and sing in different musical genres both native to the Indian sub-continent such as Hindustani folk, sufi, thumri, ghazal as well as world folk music, blues, western classical, a cappella and opera.

I started singing at the age of 6 to everyone’s surprise. Later, I received some formal training in Indian classical music from the Jaipur Gharana (one of the many Indian classical traditional schools of music). I won many state-level and national-level music competitions and received scholarships and residencies. I had the honor to learn Dhrupad (oldest known form of classical music) singing and technique for a year under the guidance of Padmashree Ustad Wasifuddin Dagar.

I have performed and shared the stage with many artists internationally from the Bahamas to Denmark to Belgium. Out of passion, I also like to conduct vocal music workshops every now and then and share the enormous bank of folk, sufi and ghazal music that I have with people from different cultures. I have been an active participant at the Ethno music camps and various other artist exchanges in Europe.

I relocated to Germany in the middle of the pandemic and have been learning many new musical and design skills since then. I have been pursuing a Master’s degree in Expanded media and Expanded sound design which leads me to experiment a lot with spatial audio for immersive experiences and games in VR, AR and MR. I am also composing music and spend a lot of time with my midi keyboard these days. Playing an acoustic and melodic instrument has been on my mind for the longest time and that is what is coming next!
